About Us

My love of Aquariums stems from my memories as a child. My older brother always had an aquarium, one fish in particular the Neon Tetra brings me back to my childhood days. I bought my daughter an aquarium as a hobby for her. I enjoyed it so much since I had to do all the work… I decided to put one in my living room for myself, and now I maintain two aquariums.

 In the year 2016 I was diagnosed with cancer. It turned out to be an aggressive Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and no modern treatments worked against it, including a stem cell transplant, which is usually the end for most folks after a failure. I then entered into a clinical trial and was saved from the cancer, and the drug was approved for others with the same type of cancer. Amazing life-saving medical science in action.

Sadly, then I lost my employment, my lifelong career gone at 56. I was determined to fall forward and have always wanted to be an inventor. I set my sights on an idea I had in the sports industry. While I was working on that, my OrnaMounts™ idea came to me while looking at my tank and seeing my magnetic cleaner on the back wall. I thought, I bet a lot of people have that on their wall, what if I put an ornament on it?? The birth of OrnaMounts™.

I genuinely hope that people and their fish will enjoy bringing their aquarium walls to life with my invention. I know my fish truly love having a place to interact with along the wall of the tank and use them all the time, and it brings me joy to see them use them.
